Editorial policy

Some of these articles compare Taskmetrics with products we do not make, and recommend one. This page says how those articles are put together, so you can judge the recommendation rather than take it on trust.

Where the facts come from

Every claim about another product comes from that product's own pages — its pricing page, its help centre, its announcements — and never from another comparison article. Each one is listed under "Sources" at the foot of the post with its URL and the date it was checked.

Prices are the part that goes stale fastest, so every price table says when it was checked and whether it is billed monthly or annually. If you are about to pay for something, check the seller's page as well.

Where AI is used, and where it is not

AI tools help draft and edit these articles. Nothing is published on that basis alone: a person reads every post against its sources before it is scheduled, and the publishing system enforces part of that. Any claim a writer could not source is marked in the draft, and the build refuses a post that still carries one of those markers and is set to publish. It has to be resolved or the post stays a draft.

Who reviews, and when

One person: Ryan Lindsey, who also writes them. Taskmetrics is not a newsroom and it would be silly to imply otherwise. Before a post is scheduled he reads it against its sources, checks every price on the seller's own page, and confirms that anything said about Taskmetrics matches what the app actually does today.

What that check cannot do is keep up with everyone else. An article is accurate as of the date printed on it, and every price says when it was checked. We do not monitor other companies' pricing pages, and we are not going to pretend to: a product named here can change its plans the week after we publish, and the article will still say what was true when it was written. Before you pay for anything, check the seller's own page.

When we do learn that something has changed — usually because a reader tells us — the article is corrected and its "Updated" date moves. Dates are not refreshed for their own sake: if nothing changed, nothing is restamped.

Disclosure

Taskmetrics is our product and it is included in the comparisons. Every comparison says so in its opening paragraph, and says where another tool is the better choice.

No link in these articles is paid, affiliate or sponsored. Nobody pays to be included, excluded or ranked, and we earn nothing if you sign up for a product we mention. The only thing we sell is Taskmetrics.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, please say so: support@taskmetrics.co or 704-750-0661. We aim to reply within three business days. A correction that changes what an article recommends, or a price it quotes, is noted at the foot of that article with the date; typos and clearer wording are simply fixed. Either way the "Updated" date in the byline moves.
