Templates

Checklists for the work that repeats

A template is a list of tasks you keep, with each item scheduled relative to the day you use it. Apply it in March and it schedules itself around March. Templates are on the free plan.

How they work

Built in the app under Templates, then applied whenever the work comes round again.

What an item can carry

Its text and description, a priority, an estimate, tags by name, one level of sub-items, and a due date expressed as days from when you apply it rather than a fixed date.

Where the tasks land

A template can create a whole new project named as you apply it — good for a client or a job — or drop its items into a project you already have, which suits a routine like a weekly review.

Tags are stored by name on purpose: rename or delete a tag and the template still works, re-creating the tag if it has to.

Starter recipes

Type these into a new template — a couple of minutes each. They are written as real sequences with day offsets, not as inspiration.
